Day 1...again...~

Here I go again....just thought I'd let you all know that today is the day I begin this journey anew. I really want to give myself a good month of doing supplements, exercise, and diet 100% to see if it will REALLY help control my blood cholesterol numbers. When I was in AZ, diet and exercise were NOT my #1 focus! Now that I'm back home and trying to get back into the groove, this Monday, March 5th, is a great day to start over. See, told you I'd share my failures as well as success! ;)

I'll write every few days or if I make chages or have suggestions I will share.  But for now, I'm off to have a late breakfast of oatmeal, peaches and blueberries...yum! Enjoy your day! Mine will be WONDERFUL..my daughter and grandson are coming for a short visit!! WOOHOO!

*Beginning anew~*

Can't believe it's been a month since writing on this blog! As many of you know, my sister, Vicki, passed away suddenly 2 1/2 weeks ago from a very aggressive brain tumor. By the time she was told of the tumor until she was on life support was about 12 hours. She didn't suffer long, which is a blessing, but we all miss her terribly! Please keep her family in your prayers, especially her husband and children. I just returned from a 2 week stay in Arizona with all of my family. What a blessing to be there with all of us together. I am SO thankful for families!

As far as this cholesterol journey is concerned, well, I'm starting over. While in AZ, as you can imagine, my focus was NOT on this diet/journey of mine. I want to give it the full month, so, here we go again. We leave for Utah in 5 weeks to take our daughter Mackenzi to BYU-I...such a bitter-sweet time! I will have my blood work done a few days before I leave. I will let you know of the results.

Thank you for your support.  I will post every few days since most of my ideas are already written in other blogs. To be honest, right now my drive is different than when I began this journey. When you lose a loved one your perspective on life changes a bit.

I hope you're all enjoying your Spring. We've had unseasonably warm weather in Iowa this year...LOVING it! Maybe this year for Connor's baseball tryouts in a few weeks it will be warmer than 30 degrees!! Gotta love the mid-west!!
